




Screenshots of a melee weapon I scripted with UnrealScript, along with a particle trail I added to the animation.
The weapon's primary fire emits an invisible short range projectile with a large collision radius to simulate a wide melee slash attack.
The weapon has a secondary fire that shoots a stronger, smaller projectile out to a slightly longer range to simulate a powerful lunge. The secondary fire has a longer firing delay, and is harder to hit with, but deals far more damage.
Both attacks knock enemies back a long distance to help keep the player from being surrounded.
